Out of Space
I have finally managed to fill my 40GB iRiver. I got an “out of disk space” error when copying over some music this morning. They estimated that it would store 10,000 songs but I only got to 9638. That’s probably got something to do with the number of 20 minute long Yes epics on there… Continue reading Out of Space
Never a Truer Word Spoken
From the BBC “Have You Say” discussion about the death of Anna Nicole Smith she may have had her knockers, but it still is a human life lost I can’t make up my mind whether or not the writer was serious.

Not Going to the Cinema
It rained today. I don’t mean in that usual London “oh, look it’s raining” kind of way. I mean in a “bloody hell, it’s really raining” kind of way. Torrential rain. But in twenty minute spurts that are separated by bright sunshine. We were caught in in whilst we were out for a walk this… Continue reading Not Going to the Cinema
Rock ‘n’ Roll
Rock ‘n’ Roll I forgot to mention this at the time, but a couple of weeks ago, we went to see Tom Stoppard’s latest play Rock ‘n’ Roll at the Duke of Yorks theatre. I’ve loved Stoppard’s work since I saw The Real Thing about twenty-five years ago and for a while I saw just… Continue reading Rock ‘n’ Roll
Reasons Not To Work In Banking
Reasons Not To Work In Banking Another change in the office whilst I was away last week. This appearing on the inside of the toilet cubicle doors. Obviously I don’t want to go into detail, but let’s just say that it was definitely required.
