I’m going planet crazy here. And Plagger means I can build a new planet in about five minutes. And most of that time is spent working out which feeds to include. Anyway, the latest one is Planet Westminster which aggregates all of the MPs’ blogs that I can find. If you know of any that… Continue reading Planet Westminster

Personal Planet
I’ve been thinking about the kinds of things that I can do with Plagger and I’ve realised that it can solve a problem that isn’t really much of a problem at the moment but that can only get worse. I write in a number of places. Only this morning, I started a Vox blog. I’ve… Continue reading Personal Planet
Millions of People
Hmm… see I thought I was special when I got my Vox invitation this morning. But it seems Vox underwent a massive expansion overnight. There appear to be millions of new people slowly finding their way around the place. [Another post that refers to Vox and is only here for completeness]
New Round These Parts
Ok, so here I am. It all looks very shiny. Over the next few days I’ll have a bit of a look around and poke a few buttons and see what happens. If there’s anything you think I should be looking at then please let me know. [This was originally the first post to my… Continue reading New Round These Parts
davblog on vox
I got an invitation to try out Vox this morning. So I’ll be writing some posts over there for the next few weeks.
On Being Aggregated
Blog aggregators are the latest thing. Well, ok, they aren’t really the latest thing – but they’re starting to become popular. And tools like Plagger make it easy to set up an aggregator. Actually, that’s not true either as the documentation for Plagger is shocking and you often end up reading the source code. But… Continue reading On Being Aggregated
Typepad Update
As I mentioned yesterday I raised a bug report against Typepad because of its insecure password handling. This is the response that was waiting for me this morning. Thank you for your feedback on this. We will keep this in mind for future updates to the system. While we cannot share specific technical details on… Continue reading Typepad Update
Moving Elsewhere
I’ve been running the blog here for almost four years, but the recent spate of comment spam has made me reconsider my options. The comment spam seems to be under control for the time being, but I know it’s only a matter of time before it comes back again. So I’m thinking that maybe I… Continue reading Moving Elsewhere
Comment Spam
The amount of comment spam this site gets has gone up by an order of magnitude or two in the last week or so. And it looks like I’m not the only one to be suffering. The server is just about keeping up with the load, but it’s probably just a matter of time before… Continue reading Comment Spam
Trackback
Over the last few days, this server has come under attack from spammer scum trying to leave fake trackbacks that point to their nasty little web sites in order to increase their Google ranking. It doesn’t work of course. No trackback gets posted to this blog until I’ve approved it. But they don’t care about… Continue reading Trackback
