Dan Hill has a brilliant idea – adding a time slider to Google Earth so that you can trace the development of a map through time. This has to happen. Only possible downside would be the amount of time I’d spend exploring old maps.

It’s nice that Google have set up Google Moon so you can take a closer look at the Apollo landing sites. But have you seen what happens when you zoom right in?
According to Google Maps I live here. But I think they’ve got it wrong. We’re actually on the other side of the railway line that goes through the centre of the photo. Update: On rechecking, I see it’s been fixed.
