You’ll have heard that the BBC are making new performances of all of Beethoven’s symphonies available for download as MP3s. In this post, Dan Hill (from BBC Radio and Music Interactive) says that this has been extremely successful (600,000 downloads) and has generated a huge amount of discussion around the BBC. Which can only be a good thing.

That doesn’t make much sense to me. Maybe they’re trying to save bandwidth or something. (??) But why are they denying me access to something they want me to have just because I came to the party late? Dumb.
Yes, I too seem to have missed the date to acquire these wonderful masterpieces. Does anyone know where I could find numbers 2-4? It’s a shame that I can’t find them anywhere!Thanks very much
